12 Angry Men
By: Reginald Rose
I read this book because we got an assignment in class to fill out a packet about this book. The only way I can fill out the packet is if I read this.
I think my favorite part of the book is when like half of the jury's voted not guilty and the other half voted guilty and they were all trying to convince each other to vote the opposite. It was like a very good debate.
There was empathy when it was the end of the packet and the eighth juror helped the third juror put his jacket on even though they didn't have the best relationship in the jury room.
I would recommend this book to someone because this book teaches you that you can convince people to think something that they haven't thought of before. Also that you should always pay attention to the small details because they might be useful to the future. Also there some suspicion so that is fun to read.

This book is The house on Mango Street. It is by Sandra Cisneros. I read this book because it was an assignment in class. My favorite part about this book is probably The Monkey garden. I don't I like it because it was very deep and emotional. I see responsibility in this book when, I don't remember the vignette name but when Esperanza was taking care of Nenny and Rachel and Lucy were making fun of Nenny and Esperanza took responsibility for her job and defended Nenny. I would recommend this book to someone else because the author does a good job explaining many topics in her life and she goes in really good depth.
In chapter one scout is telling us about the adventures of when she was younger. She was talking about dill and how he introduced himself to her and her brother jem. Dill was a wild fella alright. He dared jem to go touch or slap the radley's house. Something that scout also talked about in the first chapter was about the radley family and how it was so quiet all the time. She described it as still and scary.
In chapter two it was about scout going to school and meeting a new teacher named Ms. Caroline. Ms. Caroline and scout didn't get off to the best start. The teacher got mad at scout just because scout knew how to read. She also told scout to tell Atticus to stop teaching her about reading. Later on Walter joined jem and scout and their dad to a meal.
In chapter three it was talking more about how the dinner went with Walter. How scout also was treating him very badly and rude. Then at school Burris Ewell was insulting Ms. Caroline a lot and he made her cry. He didn't leave the classroom until he made his teacher cry. Later on scout and her dad were talking about the Ewell family. How they are not civilized people and they act like animals. They don't follow the laws and Atticus surely doesn't like how they act or them in general.
Scout starts seeing the little tokens in the tree and starts chewing the gum. A little while summer starts and dill, scout and jem start playing a game called the ones man family. They also talked about hot steams. When she was on the tire and the steps she heard laughing from the radley house.
In chapter five scout is hanging out with miss maudie when jem and dill left her out on what they were doing. Jem, dill, and scout were trying to leave a note to boo radley but they were caught by atticus.
In chapter six dill, jem, and scout went to the backyard of the Radley place and were almost caught by Nathan Radley. Later on jem realized since he left his pants there and everyone know his pants were ripped then atticus would get jem a spanking for what he was doing. Later on at two in the morning jem went to go get his pants with scout. It really did change jem.
In chapter seven jem and scout were finding different items in the tree. Scout and jem send note to whoever is sending them the items. Later on Nathan radley filled up the tree with cement.
In chapter eight scout and jem were playing with snow and making a snowman for the first time. Then later on Miss. Maudies house was on fire. When jem and scout were waiting and being safe boo radley wrapped a blanket around scout without her noticing.
Chapter nine was mostly about introducing most of the finch family like atticus siblings. Also Alexandra told scout about her lady like expectations for her. Scout tried to please her for a little while I think. Then uncle jack and atticus were talking about the case atticus has and the effect it would have especially on scout and jem.
Chapter ten: Scout was talkin got miss Maudie about how she was sort of ashamed of atticus. She was ashamed because he doesn't really do anything like the other kids father at school. Like a farmer, Sherriff and jobs like that. Later on there is a dog with rabies and atticus has to kill it. He made a perfect shot! Now scout and jem are happy that satticus does something super cool. Cause atticus was the only guy in town with perfect aim and having only to use oneshot.
Chapter eleven: Ms. DuBose was saying very rude things towards scout and jem, when they were walking past her house. I feel like jem was pushing her though, a little too hard. After that jem had to go apologize to her and read to her for a month and one week. Later on they found out she dies because she was a morphine addict.
Chapter 12: Jem is growing up and doesnt want to hang around scout as much anymore. Jem and scout went with calpurnia to her church. They saw more of calpurnias personal side, the one where she isn't working fro the finch's. At the end they saw aunt alexandra sitting on the porch.
Chapter 13: It was talking about the history of Maycomb and hot it really became a town. It also talked about how her aunt Alexandra is always telling her how scout is supposed act and dress like a girl. At then end Atticus and jem and scout kind of had a moment at the end.
Chapter 14: Jem and scout were asking Atticus if they could go with Calpurnia again but Alexandra wasn't too happy to hear that. Later on that night dill was hiding under scouts bed and scout thought he was a snake when she touched him. At night dill and scout had a pretty deep conversation about boo Radley not running way cause he probably doesn't have anyone or anywhere to run off to.
Chapter 15: A group of men came to Atticus's door and warned him about them going to beat up or kill tom Robinson later night. Later on at night Atticus stays outside of the jail cell of where tom Robinson is at. The group of men do come and Atticus is there guarding tom Robinson but the group of men leave when the kids dill, Jem, and scout come because of what scout was saying and the fact that she didn't know what was going on.
Chapter 16: The trial was happening and everyone was going to the building where it was happening. Jem and scout were also talking about different people in the town and there life. The chapter kind of ended in a cliffhanger because the person to first be in the witness stand was just named and they didn't explain nothin else. Something that surprised me or I found interesting was the person named X.
Chapter 17: The trial is already happening. Both mr heck tate and mr ewell have confessed on the witness stand. It's starting to feel like they framed tom Robinson because atticus is getting mr heck tate and mr ewwel good.
Chapter 18: This chapter is mostly about mayella ewell on the witness stand and testifying. Throughout it she doesn't really stick to what she says. Then we find out that bob ewell may have abused her and not tom robinson.
Chapter 19: In this chapter it was mostly about tom robinson on the witness stand and testifying. Throughout it he sounds like he's telling the truth about what happened that night. At the end dill realizes and doesn't like how Mr. Gilmer is talking to tom robinson. He knows that its very rude and not right.
Chapter 20: This chapter at first its about dolphus raymond talking with dill and scout. He revealed somethings that were said about him that weren't true. Atticus was reading something i'm not sure if he wrote it or tom robinson did.
Chapter 21: Atticus found out that the kids were at the courthouse and told them to eat supper and could come back to hear the verdict. Calpurnia was getting them in trouble. When they came back to the court house the judge read the verdict and the whole jury said guilty.
Chapter 22: When Atticus and dill and jem and scout found out that there was the table full of food donated by a lot of colored people. It waas because atticus tried helping tom Robinson with the case. Later on the kids found out that Bob ewell spat on atticus and threatened him.
Chapter 23: They were talking about the aftermath of mr ewell spitting on atticus. Then aunt alexandra and scout talk about the cunnighams especially walter. Then jem might of figured out about why boo radley doesnt come out of his house.
Chapter 24: A group of women, aunt alexandria, and ms maudie were sitting down on a sunday afternoon just talking about different subjects. Later on scout realizes she likes hanging out with guys a little more than girls. At the end atticus told them that tom robinson died and had 17 shots in him.
Chapter 25: In this chapter we learned that atticus and calpurnia went to go tell sam, toms wife that tom robinson died. Dill said that she broke down and atticus had to carry her back to her cabin. Later on I was informed again that bob ewell pretty much despises black people.
Chapter 26: school started and every time she passed the Radley place she always dreamt of saying bye and hi to Arthur like they were friendly neighbors. At school they had to do assignments of current events. One kid was doing something about Adolf hitler. Their teacher was going all off about how Jewish people shouldn't be treated horribly because of what they believe in, but she herself is despising people because there black in her own town!!!!
Chapter 27: Bob ewell has been behaving worse over the days. No one likes him and he's also bothering helen, but Mr. link Deas warned him not to do it again. At the end scout has to be dressed as a ham in Mrs. grace Merriweather's play.
Chapter 28: Scout and jem were on their way to the school when cecil scared them. At the school scout was late on walking out on her cue. When jem and scout were walking back home they were being attacked by someone. But then someone saved them. Jem had a broken arm and was unconscious. Scout was fine but still hurt.
Chapter 29: Scout was telling heck tate about what happened while they were attacked. Heck tate thinks that scouts costume saved her life. Then she finds out the man in the corner is boo radley.
Chapter 30: Atticus, heck tate, scout and boo radley went out on the porch. Atticus and heck tate were discussing how bob ewell died. Atticus thought that jem stabbed him but heck tate told him that bob ewell fell down and stabbed himself because of his body weight,
Chapter 31: Scout led boo radley to go see jem and say goodnight to him. Then she helped him go back to his house. Then she goes back to her house and goes to see atticus in jems room and falls asleep in his arms.
This book is about a girl who tries to find herself and her mom during her parents divorce. On her journey she finds two of the people that will be her best-est friends.
My Adventure Book
I feel pretty good about the book that I made. I spent a good amount of time working on it, I put a lot of effort into it and overall I think this is one of my favorite projects that I have made. Some parts that I would like to work on more are the title and some of the art work. I feel like I could've came up with a more exciting and creative title. I also feel like my drawing skills could've been a lot better if I didn't really rush as much.
